It hit the prop, upper cowling, and passenger side windshield. The buzzard pretty much exploded. It was incredibly nasty! Buzzard slime all over the windshield, door, vents, strut, wing and a little bit on the tail. My poor passenger about lost her lunch. No damage to the airplane other than some paint damage on the upper cowl. Just smelly mess! I would recommend avoiding those things…”
Questions / Answers on the post :
Q: Is it an e-prop ? Did you continue home with it ? Very glad you’re both well.
A: Yes. We flew on to our next airport and found a hose and cleaned it off. That was nasty. But the propeller was fine. Damage to the airplane is only cosmetic.
Q: So the prop lived ?
A: Yes ! It hit pretty far in Board. There was some guts on it but nothing that didn’t wipe off.
A2: That’s good news. We really like those props.
E-Props are lightweight, yes, but above all very strong !
