Flying High with the Glorieuse : Marco Bulgheroni’s Mountain Summer

This summer, the Italian mountain pilot Marco Bulgheroni took his ICP Savannah S, powered by a Rotax 912S (100 hp), on an adventurous season of flying across some of the most demanding alpine altisurfaces. At the heart of his setup: the E-Props Glorieuse C8, diameter 190 cm (74.8 in) — a lightweight, responsive, and efficient propeller perfectly suited for mountain operations.

Marco is well known in the alpine flying community for his precision, experience, and passion for exploring rugged slopes that only the most skilled pilots dare to visit. His flying requires immediate throttle response, excellent climb performance, and reliability under every condition the mountains can throw at him. That’s why he chose the Glorieuse C8, and after a full season of intensive use, he couldn’t be more satisfied.

Whether approaching short, sloped strips carved into the rock, or taking off from remote grass altisurfaces at high density altitudes, Marco’s Savannah S equipped with the Glorieuse showed smooth acceleration, strong climb rates, and remarkable control authority. Throughout his alpine safari, the propeller proved both robust and efficient — even during long-distance touring flights between mountain sessions.

You can follow Marco’s adventures on his Facebook page, where he shares regular flying videos from these spectacular locations. But here, on this blog, I’m delighted to feature these approach and takeoff videos along with some photos from his season — a great way to see the Glorieuse C8 in real action, mounted on a Savannah S piloted with mastery.

Thank you so much, Marco, for your trust and for showcasing what the Glorieuse can do at high altitude and in real-world mountain flying !
