We are excited to introduce the 3-blade version of ASCALON, the newest member of the E-PROPS aircraft propeller family. Built for direct-drive engines, ASCALON combines ultra-lightweight full-carbon construction with titanium leading-edge protection, delivering high efficiency, strength, and an exceptionally smooth flying experience.
ASCALON is our range of 2-blade and 3-blade ground-adjustable pitch propellers, designed for tractor (puller) configurations. Our goal is simple: provide a range of propellers that is very strong, lightweight, high-performance, and as quiet and low-vibration as possible.
The 3-blade model brings the advantages pilots expect from an additional blade:
- smoother operation and reduced vibration
- excellent thrust across a wide speed range
- improved acoustic comfort thanks to optimized blade profiles
The first ASCALON models are optimized for Lycoming and Continental direct-drive engines, covering a broad power spectrum:
- 80 to 270 hp
- 4-cylinder up to 210 hp
- 6-cylinder up to 270 hp

- Diameters from 140 to 210 cm (55 to 82.7 in)
- 3-blade weight: ~7 kg (15.5 lb)

Flight tests starting in a few days ☺️
After extensive design, simulation, and ground validation, the ASCALON 3-blade is ready for in-flight evaluation. The first flight-test campaign will begin in the coming days, using our dedicated testbed aircraft equipped with advanced onboard data acquisition. These real-flight measurements will allow us to finalize performance maps and confirm behavior across the full operating envelope.
