E-Props tests : 1 billion cycles (equivalent to 400,000 flight hours)

E-Props : fatigue tests at max frequency and stress / 1 Billion cycles on DURANDAL range

Jérémie Buiatti, E-Props designer, presents these tests :
“As part of the EASA certification of our E-Props propellers (CS-22), we conducted a fatigue test of 500 million cycles at the maximum frequency and stresses measured in real conditions.
Once this test was validated, we redid 500 million cycles, half of them at 125%.
That is a total of 1 billion cycles.
This level of stress corresponds to 400,000 hours of flight.
The E-Props are light and strong thanks to our 100% carbon process.”
