Customer feedback : “we have finished testing our new Glorieuse constant speed propeller on the Sting S4 Rotax 912S (100 hp)
In one word: impressive !
To compare, we had the original PowerMax Sport Aircraft constant speed propeller made by TL Ultralight. It has a diameter of 175 cm. It weighs 10.5 kg + the spinner dia 235 mm 800 g, that is a total of 11.3 kg. The pitch adjustment range is 10°.
The Eprop Glorieuse has the same diameter of 175 cm, and only 4 kg for the whole propeller + 230 mm spinner system. It is extremely impressive. The carbon parts have a beautiful design. Pitch amplitude 16°.
The first impression is the feeling of being pulled off the ground when you put the throttle on. Then a reactivity between big pitch and small pitch (2,7 sec !). A smoothness of use.
On the performance side : we gain at least 40 meters of rolling at takeoff, 500 ft/min in rate of climb and 12 km/h in max speed, and 7,3 kg payload.
A success on all points.
The only thing left to do is to connect the standard pitch control instead of the regulator (but you get used to it very quickly). I believe that this is under development in the design office. And then, this propeller will be just PERFECT.
