Eric Grare, 2026 French STOL Champion — Seven Titles in a Row
Eric Grare has done it again! 😊 👍 ✨
At the 2026 French STOL Championship, Eric Grare took first place in the national ranking and became French STOL Champion for the seventh consecutive year.
STOL stands for Short Take-Off and Landing. In this type of competition, pilots are judged on their ability to take off and land in the shortest possible distance, with maximum precision and control. It is a demanding discipline, where aircraft handling, engine response, propeller efficiency and pilot skill all make the difference.
Eric flies a Zlin Savage Bobber, powered by a Rotax 912S, 100 hp, fitted with an E-Props Glorieuse variable-pitch propeller.
The 2026 podium is the same as in 2025:
1st — Eric Grare — E-Props
2nd — Michel Gaignard — E-Props
3rd — Claude Chenaux — Duc
Eric has been French STOL Champion every year since the competition was created in 2020: 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and now 2026.
Seven consecutive national titles. A remarkable achievement!
Eric Grare is an exceptional competitor, combining precision, consistency and outstanding piloting skills. His results also show the importance of a perfectly matched aircraft, engine and propeller combination in STOL performance.
Congratulations Eric for this new French Champion title, and
thank you for your continued trust in E-Props!
